SLS Nylon 12 Production
USM uses Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) with Nylon 12 to produce lightweight night vision housings with complex internal geometry. The process supports integrated features, internal channels, and rapid design iteration that traditional injection molding cannot match — while delivering repeatable production-grade surface finish and dimensional consistency.

CNC / Aluminum Components
Bridge components, dovetail shoes, and other structural parts where strength and precision matter are CNC-machined from aluminum 7075 and 17-4 H900 stainless steel. These materials provide the rigidity and tolerance control required for articulating bridge mechanisms and helmet-mounted hardware.

Cerakote Black / FDE Finishing
Black and FDE Cerakote finishes are applied to USM housings and components for color, surface durability, and sealing of the porous SLS Nylon 12 surface. Cerakote application is scheduled in batch lots — finish timing factors into total lead time on made-to-order builds.
